Local Weather and Dress Recommendations

The weather in San Diego during January is generally mild. Typical temperatures range from 50°F to 65°F (10°C to 18°C). Expect some rain, as January is within the rainy season, but overall precipitation is typically low. On average, there are a few days with measurable rainfall, so it’s advisable to bring a light raincoat or umbrella.
